Look, if we look at the state of modern metalcore- the influx of nu-metal influence is undeniable, so of course we cannot ignore the new banger ‘Fly Away’ from Aussie trio Ocean Grove. Always the first to make their own path, the band has also announced not only the launch of their very own label, ODDWORLD Records but also their signing to SharpTone Records for outside of Australia & New Zealand representation.
“We’re very pumped to be joining the SharpTone Records family,” shares vocalist Dale Tanner. “We feel more ready than ever to represent a label of their calibre and are so grateful for their confidence in us. In return, we hope to bring a fresh and unique sound to their roster as they take The Oddworld global.”
Their first offering under their new label is a return to their nu-metal traditions. Infused with the freshness that only Ocean Grove can deliver, this sonic boom of a single is filled with non-stop groove.
“FLY AWAY is a return to our sonic roots and the definitive OG sound,” shares Tanner of the latest OG track. “With an injection of fresh energy and experimentation, the song primes the new era of Ocean Grove with a hard and heavy edge.”
Australia, you can experience this next evolution of Ocean Grove later this month as they head out with fellow Aussie heavy music titans Polaris on their massive national regional tour. With dates already selling out, be sure to get in quick.
