Last month Hanoi heavy hitters GAI 荄 burst onto the scene with their debut release ‘Same Old Story’. Unbeknownst to us, it wouldn’t be long to we were treated to a second tune- with the band dropping the absolute heater ‘Gutter Rat’.

The buzz around this band has reached international levels. With music influencers like Matt Bevan, Ohrion Reacts and METALBIRB featuring ‘Same Old Story’ on their respected platforms, all eyes have been on what the band can follow up their first release with.

Co-written and co-produced by Josh Ang (Pincer+), it’s brutal mastery scratches the brain just right. An exhibition of flowing riffs and dynamic instrumentation, there is not a moment to take a breath. Brutality and aggression is at the forefront, but there is no shortage of groove in the hardness.

If this is just the beginning for GAI 荄- we cannot wait to see what comes next.
