It was a busy weekend for Filipino heavyweights Arcadia. Just in time for the crowd to sing along during their set at the Wacken Metal Battle Philippines event, they gifted us their new single ‘Sick New World’.

Arcadia have been tearing a whole in the fabric of South East Asian metalcore this year. Coming off their wild set at Hammersonic in Indonesia, the band has gone from to strength with their 2024 releases. The anthemic ‘Gloom’ and blood-pumping ‘Life We Know’ singles adding to an already epic discography and they do not seem to be slowing down.

Their latest release ‘Sick New World’ is fast and furious. The circle pit inspiring kind of fast and furious. Gang-vocal sections peppered in throughout the track ensure that this song is best consumed live or at least sung along too as you blast it loud. Only slowing down for the breakdown and boy, do you need that break. A great little bleugh leads into a crescendo of double kick and riffing, before fading off into the sun.
