Wow.

We could go on about all the new music released the last week, but today has been the creme de la creme of new music drops. Especially from Australia. So instead of giving you singles- we are going to give some new extended releases that you should have in your ears this week!

As always, in no particular order.

SPEED- ONLY ONE MODE
Arriving back in Australia and dropping hardcore album of the year? Only SPEED can do that. Upon listening to this album- there is a reason why they are slowly becoming one of the most notable hardcore bands in the world. It is fast, furious and fun. Everything that the band is about. Reppin’ their area hard and remaining authentic to themselves- this is definitely going to be an album talked about in decades to come.

Windwaker- Hyperviolence
Passionate, experimental and just intense, this is one of the best offerings the young band has put out to date. Their brand of core infused hyperpop metal is unique and authentic, drawing on a range of influences that has you going back and forth between genres. We won’t say too much for now other than go, go, go listen!

Diarsia- Armageddon
In what may very well be the first deathcore album to ever come out Vietnam, this upcoming band from Saigon has curated an incredible offering. With guest features from DIVINTIST singer Ryu Miura and District 105 frontman Hyunh Huy, this album explores a diverse range of deathcore influences, showing incredible depth. This is one band that has come out the gates with their debut album and deserves your attention.

In Hearts Wake- Incarnation
We will be dropping a review of this one very, very soon so we do not want to spoil too much, but this band truly has earnt their status as a mainstay of Australian metalcore. Their latest offering is a part two to their acclaimed album ‘Divination’ and the follow-up is perfect. Darker, heavier and focused- it’s sure to go absolutely off live.

MADCOCK- 嘥鳩氣
Okay we cheated here, this is an EP and it came out in the last two weeks, but we missed it on our last cycle of coverage and it absolutely deserves a mention. This chaotic hardcore band from Macau may have gone under your radar but don’t worry, we know they will be come a permanent fixture on your hardcore playlists. The EP 嘥鳩氣, which translates to ‘waste of fucking breath’ goes crazy from the start and does not relent.

That wraps up this weeks Five Fresh For Your Fridays: Album Edition. Remember, if you are in a band, or represent one, and want to get your music out there, send us a message. We are always looking to elevate and cover new music- so get in as soon as you can!

Because we can’t get to everything, please let us know what other great releases came out this week so we can ensure they get the attention they deserve.

Also, don’t forget to check out our Spotify Playlist so you can stay update with some of the freshest metalcore/hardcore/deathcore etc. coming out of the Asia Pacific Region.
