Now, we all love a good single, but with a bunch new extended releases dropping this week, we’ve decided to listen to them all and pick our favourite NOT NECESSARILY singles for the week. Don’t worry, the tracks are still fresh- if anything they are fresher because you got to head to the album to find them.
Like we always say, there is no particular order here.
5. Revoid- Euphoria
The incredible Revoid from Brisbane have dropped their EP ‘Evergrey’ today and while we could feature any track on it (look out for a review soon), we couldn’t get enough of the fast, short and furious ‘Euphoria’. Make sure you check out the entire EP.
4. SABLE HILLS- Tokyo
A victory lap. A celebration. A heavy metalcore party. That is how the final track on SABLE HILLS’ ‘Odyssey’ album feels. If you love good, anthemic riffs- then ‘Tokyo’ is for you. Honestly, this band is beyond their years.
3. CARRY ON- Self-Control
Thai heavy hardcore band Carry On recently crossed our radar and we cannot get enough. Dropping ‘EP.Impermanence’ this week, ‘Self-Control’ has been a stand out track for us, so we just needed to share.
2. Diarsia- ‘Red Prison: Heaven’ and ‘Red Prison: Hell’
Okay, we know we shared Vietnam’s Diarsia last week and will probably have some more about their debut album ‘Armageddon’ soon but we are obsessed. Also, we know we have put two tracks up but you cannot have one without the other. These apocalyptic deathcore bangers need to be enjoyed back to back, and every time they bring that breakdown back slower, you will be agreeing with us.
1. EARTHISTS- Hyperhell
Now this one dropped a few weeks ago, but if you think we have taken off the latest EP from Earthists off our rotation, then think again! The hypermetal masters from Tokyo have been really developing their style and this track ‘Hyperhell’ is a sonic boom of catchy melodies and heavy riffs.
Editors Note: We have been made aware this has been out for about a year, honestly though, it is a banger, so we will keep it.
That wraps up another Five Fresh For Your Fridays. If you are in a band, or represent one, and want to get your music out there, send us a message. We are always looking to elevate and cover new music- so get in as soon as you can!
Also, did we miss anything? Let us know what other great releases came out this week so we can shine a light on them.
