It’s our favourite time of the week, 5 Fresh For Your Fridays and this week, we have a range of tunes to cater across the heavy to core music spectrum.

Without further ado, here is five fresh singles that dropped this week. As always, the order is just what comes to mind and no sort of ranking.

5. Ocean Grove- My Disaster
Now we are very much toeing the line of metalcore here, it really is more a nu-metal track, but the boys from Ocean Grove do whatever the hell they want so we are taking a leaf out of their book. As always, Ocean Grove never miss. With a heavy groove unlike any others, this track has that undeniable old-school nu-metal feel, but still retains its freshness.

4. FORDECISION- Falling Apart
What is in the water over in Thailand right now? Let us introduce you to another Thai hardcore band FORDECISION. Their latest drop ‘Falling Apart’ captures the pure essence of hardcore and will have you fighting the urge to spin kick in public if you have this through your earbuds.

3. Daybreak- Moon
Whatever is in the water in Thailand is seeping into the waters in West Australian and mixing with the metal because the latest offering Daybreak is not one to miss. The single ‘Moon’ is off their upcoming debut album ‘The Sound’. It is atmospheric, prog-metalcore at is finest. Delivering hard as hell riffs over an ethereal soundscape, this band is one to jump on now because we predict they have a bright future ahead.

2. Signals- Poetry of Spite
Sorry for the Aussie heavy list, but that’s what you got to send us your tunes! Anyway, Adelaide’s Signals are continuing to prove just why they are one of the most exciting young acts to come out of the land down under. ‘Poetry of Spite’ is gritty and aggressive. Dripping in raw power, it is a tough track that is made for going feral in the pit.

1. SHADOWS- SUPERCAR
If you want some feel good chaos core then let us put you on to SHADOWS from Japan. Their newest track ‘SUPERCAR’ is fun, loud and fast. This catchy as hell tune is over before you get your mind around it, but it just means you must loop it! Trust us, it is one of those tracks you will get stuck in your head!
