Oh boy. Some heavy and we mean HEAVY releases have dropped this week. It’s been wild out there! How are we all going? Anyway, here 5 tracks that we have dropped this week that we have enjoyed spinning.

As always, the order is random.

5. GAI 荄- Viva La Deception
Look, we love Gai. They’ve only got 3 tracks out, but each one is a BANGER. A beautiful blend of nu-metalcore, beatdown hardcore and just sheer brutality- they have no disappointed us yet and this new one is no exception. Calling out abusers and look, calling somebody a ‘pussy’ in the middle of a track is just the icing on the cake.

4. Xile- Stone Cold
From a band with a singer from the NZ in the previous song, to a band from Aotearoa, it’s been a week for our Kiwi brethern. Xile are back with another hardcore classic, delivering the riffs and breakdowns to keep you satisfied till at least next Friday’s new music drop. Their heavy hardcore style is monstrous and their latest single ‘Stone Cold‘ is just another example of that.

3. Gravemind- Failstate feat. Mick Gordon
This week it is all gravey baby, with the Melbourne metalcore powerhouses dropping their album Introsphere’ this week- but not before blowing our socks off with their latest ‘Failstate‘. Joining forces with legendary video game composer Mick Gordon, this track pushes their sound into another dimension. Containing an unrelenting stream of high octane riffs and metamorphosing screams blended with Mick Gordon’s signature pulsating synths, it’s the collab we didn’t know we needed.

2. Inversion- Anathema
This one almost slipped past our radar because it’s only currently on YouTube, but Malaysian modern metalcore act Inversion is back with their new track ‘Anathema‘. Utilising crushing riffs and singing guitars, this band leans into deathcore sensibilities to create an absolutely ferocious  sound we cannot get enough of.

1. Cloath- Odin
Full transparency, the guys from Cloath reached out to us and boy, are we glad they did. We have not stopped playing this track since they sent it our way and we will continue raving about it until they give us another one! From Indonesia, this band takes modern metalcore sounds and fuses it with mythological concepts, taking us on a wild ride from start to finish. Now you can’t find their stuff on YouTube yet, so you just have to head to your favourite streaming site to look them up.

If you have music that will knock our socks off like Cloath, or are just wanting to shout out one of your favourite bands, let us know what is coming out or songs you are spinning every week. We are always on the hunt for fresh sounds, so as long as it is from the Asia Pacific and contains a breakdown- we will give it a spin!

As always, you can head to our Spotify and check out what else we have been listening to and featuring over the past year. Chuck us a follow!
