You may have noticed that we missed last weeks Five Fresh For Your Fridays, but never fear, we are back this week.
Not only are we back, we are back with an addition five songs to make 5+5 Fresh For Your Fortnight.
Let’s not waste anymore time, here is ten tracks to really kick off your weekend.
10. Void of Vision- Blood For Blood
Giving us another taste of their upcoming album ‘What I’ll Leave Behind’, the Aussie lads have hit it out the park again with this track. It’s volatile and relentless, giving us an insight into the mind of frontman Jack Bergin as he comes to grips with the nature of existing in the music industry.
9. Solitude A Sleepless Nights- Sink To Undersea
Operating occasionally under Eversolitude, Japanese metalcore band Solitude A Sleepless Nights have made their return to the scene, dropping a fire EP (stay tuned for more on that). While all three tracks are absolute bangers, ‘Sink To Undersea’ stood out as a favourite. A mix that sounds like it is influenced by powerhouse acts such as Polaris and Crystal Lake, this band is one of the best upcoming acts out of the underground Tokyo scene.
8. Brickcity- Salt and Pepper
If you missed out on our piece about this song and the new music video, you can read a little more in depth here. Lately we have been dipping into our emo/post-hardcore roots and Filipino band Brickcity scratches all those notes right now.
7. Stainless- Triumph
Malaysia’s hardcore scene is filled to the brim with underground talent and one of those bands is Stainless. They dropped their new banger ‘Triumph’ this week and it is just straight up, blistering heavy hardcore. Breakdowns, solid gang vocals and squealing guitars- it’s honestly all you need.
6.花冷え。(HANABIE.)- メタ盛るフォーゼ! (Metamorphose)
The pioneers of Harajuku-core returned with a new digital single, giving everybody something to both headbang and dance too. These ladies go so damn hard and are putting out solid tune after tune, and this one is no different.

5. Empathize– Deluded feat. Viet Hoang Vu (BORN IN HATRED)
Another band straight out of the emerging South East Asian hardcore scene, Empathize from Saigon are making their presence felt with this new ripper of a tune. Those slow, raw breakdowns will have you wanting to spin kick and two-step your way down the street.
4. Crossfaith- My Own Salvation
Okay, not exactly a new track- BUT they have just dropped the video so if you haven’t gotten along to listening to ‘ARK’ yet, then this will be a new one for you. Their ability to blend tribal percussion and futuristic samples with that modern metalcore anthemic sound is unrivalled.
3. Storm The Crown- Max Power
Okay, we will admit that we dropped the ball and should’ve had this on our list a few weeks ago- but we reckon it’s still fresh enough to share! South Australia’s Storm The Crown dropped their bloody brilliant track ‘Max Power’, and we know it rips.
2. Reserate- Weightless
This high octane, core infused metal band from Singapore have just dropped their album ‘Introspect’ and while ‘Weightless’ was one of the singles on the track, we wanted to make sure it hasn’t skipped your radar!
1. Make Them Suffer- Oscillator
Honestly one of the most exciting bands out of Australia, Make Them Suffer can do no wrong. They’ve proven this time and time again, and AGAIN this time with their new single ‘Oscillator’. Off their upcoming self-titled album, there is a reason we put it at number one.
If you have music coming out or just want to let us know about one of your favourite bands, drop us a line!
We are always seeking fresh sounds, especially from the underground scenes. As long as it is from the Asia Pacific and contains a breakdown- send it through.
Our Spotify playlist also gets updated weekly, so chuck a suss and see what we have featured this year.
