For many people, Japanese reggae punx SiM first came across the radar after their crushingly epic track opening for Attack On Titan, ‘The Rumbling’, took over the internet and even made an appearance on the US Billboard Charts. What many may not realise is that this band, who have a cult following across Japan, has been kicking around for twenty years.
Next month, the band will be making their first appearance down under, with three dates across the East Coast of Australia. As the tour approaches, there have been some updates so for those sitting on the fence on whether they want to go- let’s tell you why you don’t want miss out.
First and foremost, the support acts have been announced and joining the Japanese metalcore infused reggae punk rockers across all dates is Banks Arcade. Originally from Auckland, but now based in Melbourne, Banks Arcade are fresh dose of modern heavy. Combining elements of hard rock, electro and metalcore, taking influence from names like Northlane, The Prodigy and SAINt JHN, they are the perfect act to compliment ever diverse sounding SiM.
In Brisbane, SiM and Banks Arcade will also be joined by one of the most exciting upcoming acts in Australia metalcore Revoid at the newly announced location of the Princess Theatre. In Melbourne, it will be Bad Love kicking off the festivities.
