We love this time of the week and not just because we are about to hit the weekend. It’s been a bit of deathcore week for us at the Noise ‘N’ Visuals, especially coming out of Thailand but that is not all! So much new music has dropped but we whittled the list down to five for your aural pleasure.
5. TERESA- Lord of Blood
As we mentioned, Thai deathcore is going OFF this week and one band that is bringing the heat is TERESA. This song is face-meltingly brutal, delivering it’s fair share of nasty vocals and guitar squeals. Impressively heavily with a double kick that sounds like it’s drilling through your ear drum, deathcore aficionados will be very satisfied with ‘Lord of Blood.’
4. Ocean Grove- Raindrop
Look, we know that they are kinda more nu-metal but we will never apologise for covering Ocean Grove. Their new track ‘Raindrop’ once again giving that feel good Ocean Grove weirdness that will throw us on that nostalgia trip. Nobody quite does it like them and this one is a groovy one to get down too.
3. Shvriken- Oni
Our Pinoy Wacken Metal Battle Champions have returned from their European conquest and given us an epic new single to get head bang too. This band never misses. Their high energy performance translates exceptionally into their recorded music, leaving you breathless with just how good this band is. ‘Oni’ is no exception.
2. The Creation of Adam- Type F feat. the KYLE
We did a whole review this week on The Creation of Adam’s new EP, (read here), but that was not enough. The wild deathcore ride this EP took us on is not something we are going to stop talking about anytime soon. The quirky samples and vocal diversity is what made us choose this track to feature in this list. Don’t just take our word for it, jump on this release NOW.
1. Astra- Resolute
There was no way we were not going to mention this absolute masterpiece. Bittersweet that this stunning track is hitting our ears now, as it comes not long after the passing of Astra frontman Chrome. Out of respect, we will let the music do the talking. Please show some love to these wonderful musicians from the Philippines.
Hopefully your necks are okay after going through the list and you haven’t impulsively spin kicked a hole into your wall.
If you have new music coming out and would like it to be covered, please reach out! We are always looking for new metalcore (and adjacent genres) music to feature across the board.
