Okay, we will admit it. We are losing track on some the new releases that have dropped. Not a bad problem to have, so we decided to put together 10 heavy additions you should be adding to your playlist to power you into the week.

10. Sailing Before The Wind- ‘Fire Rainbow’

A refreshed and reinvented Sailing Before The Wind have returned with a bit of a line-up change and an image change. With that though has come some new music, but don’t worry, they are still delivering us the same early ‘00s metalcore that we know and love them for. This new track gives us a guitar heavy, straight up melodic metalcore banger.

9. Ocean Grove- ‘Last Dance’

Everybody knows how much we love Ocean Grove here at Noise ‘N’ Visuals, and their new ep, along with the new single ‘Last Dance’ has made its way onto our playlists. It has a kind of late 90’s alternative ballad soundscape with a modern rock, melodic metalcore song structure. A little bit of a softer one, but it’s sweet and we know you will love it just as much as we do.

8. Hailrose- ‘Ghedra’

Switching gears completely, let us introduce you to Hailrose. Part of the underground scene in Japan, they have fully embraced the digital metalcore sound that Japanese bands are adopting, and they do it oh so well. Breakdown heavy, fast, furious, tenacious- with a little dance break. What more can you want?

7. Those Who Dream- ‘Therapy Machine’

You know by now we are a bit of a sucker for some emocore so we can’t go without mentioning a track from the new Those Who Dream (stay tuned for the EP review). This track, the title track, ‘Therapy Machine’ is one of our favourites. It’s boppy, it’s sweet and has a lean into some Limp Bizkitesque vocals that had us hooked from the start.

6. Bloodywood- ‘Nu Dehli’

Look this band has a real hybrid of genres going on. They dip into nu-metal, heavy metal and they’ve been known to hit a nasty breakdown- so we are going to cover them. We also want to highlight bands who are delivering a message that is extremely important- and if you listen to their lyrics, they are hardcore in nature! This new banger from Bloodywood deserves to be played on repeat for at least five hours a day. It is catchy, it blends traditional instruments with slamming nu-metalcore riffs, and the vocal blends always hit the ear right. If you can stand still listening to this song, you may need to switch genres.

5. Arcadia- ‘Stormbreaker’

One of the hottest metalcore acts out of The Philippines Arcadia are back with their latest single ‘Stormbreaker’ and as always, they are bringing the damn heat! This hard-hitting track is straight to the point and is accompanied by an epic compilation of clips from their live shows from their last year. If you have had the absolute privilege of seeing Arcadia live then you will know just how enigmatic their shows are- so you know the video is going to get you hyped.

4. Whispers- ‘Retribution’

Speaking of hype live shows, there is nobody who does quite like Thailand’s premier hardcore act Whispers. Putting out their first single through the iconic Flat Spot Records, the band show you just why their popularity is building. Giving us a classic hardcore track that leans into the more thrash side of the genre with those shredding guitars, Whispers hasn’t missed yet and they haven’t with this new single.

3. Ugoslabier- ‘Tear Up The Cage’

Staying in Thailand, if you haven’t got into this aggressive post-hardcore act, then you are sorely missing out. With a few vocal changes over the years, the band has settled into a steady groove with their new frontman and is picking up new momentum with these absolute ripper releases. The band gives us major Converge vibes, with the straight up speed and heaviness that hits you but as you peel back the track, you hear all the layers.

2. Signals- ‘Permanence’

South Australia’s Signals have had a big couple of weeks and they are keeping it going with the drop of their latest single ‘Permanence’. This young band are making strides in the Australian scene, proving their worth and skill with every single drop. This one is no different. As heavy as the track is, it is also catchy as hell so you cannot resist banging your head and getting down to this one. Sure enough, this band is here to stay and jump on the bandwagon now because they will blow up very soon.

1. Make Them Suffer- ‘Mana God’

Look we talked about it a couple of a days ago and WE KNOW it came out last Friday but we are still playing it on repeat. The track is heavy as hell, catchy as hell and just downright has no business being this good. Warming us up nicely for the album release next month, this track proves just how unstoppable this band is.
