After staring longingly at the US, Euro and Asia Summer festivals- it’s now our turn down under! Kicking off this weekend, it’s time for the NOISE ‘N’ VISUALS Aussie Summer Festival Guide.

So if you are keen to catch a whole load of incredible talent in one place- then we’ve got your covered.

Here is what to hit up this season!

FROTH & FURY- Adelaide, SA

Now unless you are in Adelaide, it might be a little late to get here (unless you are in Melbourne- start driving now) but the now annual Froth & Fury Festival is where we are starting our Aussie Summer Festival experience (unofficial but we will be moshing- so come say hi and grab a sticker).

Adelaide’s very own Froth & Fury combines two of metalheads favourite things; heavy music and beer. Starting in 2021, the festival has gone from strength to strength and this year’s promises to be the biggest one yet! With Australian heavy music royalty such as Northlane and Thy Art Is Murder headlining, plus a great bunch of additions like Thornhill, Future Static, Volatile Ways and the return of Adelaide metalcore OG’s Day of Contempt- it is set to be a ripper of a day! Oh there are also some guests from overseas like Brand of Sacrafice, Great American Ghost and Dharma. Plus local talent like Signals, Witch Spit, Devoidance– you would be absolutely insane to miss it.

Good Things Festival- East Coast

It wouldn’t be a complete festival guide without the infamous Good Things Festival. You will find us at the Brisbane leg, but the festival also will be hitting up Melbourne and Sydney too. With tickets running low, you better make that decision sooner rather than later to get them. Headlined by the legendary KORN and a farewell appearance from the one and only Sum 41, there is also a huge amount of Aussie talent to check out (you can revert to our article on who we are checking out here). Every year Good Things Festival is a place where memories are made- so it is worth the ticket price.

If you want to enhance your festival experience or if festivals aren’t your thing- make sure you also check out the sideshows on offer too! It’s a great way to see those bands in a more intimate setting- head here for more information on where and what bands you can grab tickets for (sorry guys but KORN and Imminence are all sold out).

KNOTFEST Australia

This line-up caused a little ruckus, but us over here at NOISE ‘N’ VISUALS have never been more excited. Of course, great to see Asia Pacific bands like Polaris, In Hearts Wake and Babymetal getting those well-deserved slots- but the rest of the line-up is also delectable if you are a metalcore/hardcore band. With acts like Sunami, A Day To Remember, Miss May I, Enter Shikari and of course, Hatebreed playing their legendary album ‘Perseverance’– the pit is going to be monstrous. Oh and we cannot go without mentioning the headliners- the one and only SLIPKNOT. Besides the music, there is also a range of attractions like the Slipknot museum. Well wroth the trek over if you aren’t on the East coast and despite there being a huge amount of tours announced for the next few months, this one is also worth dropping a few dollary-doos on.

New Bloom Festival

Did anybody else get FOMO watching the footage from this years New Bloom Fest? So much so, that no matter who was playing we were already marking it in our calendars for 2025? Surely not just us but, the line-up has dropped and boy isn’t it delectable! Headlined by English rockers Basement, it’s time to get a little sad boi vibes up to finish up the Summer. But if that doesn’t float your boat, then American hardcore punk legends Drain ought to have you moving. There is also balance and composure, One Step Closer, Sweet Pill and Glitterer so Aussie emos, time to dust off those skinny jeans and work out which city you are going to hit up.

NewBloomFest

These are just some of the big festivals and events that will be on over the next few months in Australia. With many local events and smaller festivals going down, we cannot be at everything but we want to help you promote- so please let us know what you have going on!

Remember the future of these events are in our hands, so while there are so dope festivals overseas, supporting local will help ensure we continue to get some incredible events for years to come.

What pit will we see you in?
