1. GAI 荄 – PHOBETOR
One of the heaviest new core bands to make their way out of Vietnam, the Hanoi based GAI 荄 have quickly gained popularity across the world. Their latest offering ‘Phobetor’ continues their crushingly heavy crusade. Check it out here:
2. Graywax- Shalom Shalom
Another impressive new act to come out the Philippines, Graywax is quickly making waves. They are a powerhouse metal group with a message that transcends heavy riffs and explosive drumbeats. An amalgamation of different faiths and influences, they have come together to create something beautiful and that is their new single ‘Shalom Shalom’.
3. 恕樂團 Solemn- I’ll Never Let It Go
The rifftastic and musically eclectic Taiwanese act 恕樂團 Solemn return with their new track ‘I’ll Never Let It Go’ and man, is it one to put on repeat. The vocal harmonies and juxtapositions sit nice on the ear and the riffs are just delicious. If you like a more classic metalcore, then this band is definitely for you.
4. Whispers- ‘Close Your Eyes’
You didn’t think we missed this one did you? The kings of Bangkok Hardcore are back with another hard-hitting offering, which they’ve also announced is going to be off their upcoming EP. ‘Close Your Eyes’ is everything you want in a Whispers track, so go spin it and get two-stepping.
5. Deficit- ‘Original Criminal’
The latest offering from Australian nu-metalcore band Deficit goes so hard it should be illegal. The underlying beat that channels some old school hip hop feels, partnered with the absolutely heaving bass and shredding guitars straight up nasty. It’s aggressive, violent and is perfect to get the blood pumping.
