Okay this week was wild for new releases.
So let’s not mess around and get straight into it.
1. District105- Lặp Lại (Repeat Yourself)
There is just something that hits different when a band sings in their mother tongue and you can always count on the lads from Saigon District105 to deliver. Heavy, gritty and straight-up tailor made to crowd kill, the Vietnamese mainstays go so damn hard it’s not even funny.
2. Thornhill- Nerv
Everybody is horny for Thorny, and that includes us. Riding that hardline between the sound curated through Heroine and their metalcore roots- the Aussie boys once again have shown their ability to constantly evolve and bring something fresh and new.
3. As Alliance- Withering
Looking for some classic Japanese style metalcore? Then don’t look past Okinawa’s As Alliance. Their new track ‘Withering’ is riff heavy, melodic and shows us once again the absolute depth of the Japanese metalcore scene.
4. Signals- Insignificant Seller
South Australia’s favourite sons Signals dropped their latest EP ‘Poetry of Spite’ this week and it full of bangers. We wanted to highlight this made for violence, circle pit anthem ‘Insignificant Seller’. The whole EP goes hard as hell, but this one is certainly one to get you moving.
5. KEYAN- Arrest ft. Marcus Vik (Invent Animate)
Guitar extraordinaire KEYAN has been making waves with his heart driven, prog infused music. Teaming up with some notable acts over the years, this time he has teamed up with Marcus Vik from Invent Animate to bring to life this absolute prog-core masterpiece. Deeply layered and atmospheric, it wastes no time- drowning us in a wave of sound.
If you would like your music featured on our weekly playlist suggestions, get in contact with us through email, social media DM or through our contact form. Remember, only bands from the Asia Pacific region are eligible (and also playing metalcore/hardcore- but send us your music and we will let you know if it fits!)
What else have you been spinning this week?
