It’s that time of week again where we give you a few new tracks to bump from around the Asia Pacific Region.

This week we have some new Aussie tracks, but also a couple of bangers out of China- plus a few extra treats.

So let’s jump in.

1. Those Left Behind- Ouroboros
This track from South Australian band Those Left Behind employs some real classic metalcore sensibilities of heavy riffs, aggressive vocal delivery, hard hitting breakdowns and straight to the point lyrics. Emotionally charged song that deals with the betrayal of a close friend and the destructive cycle of drug addiction.

2. An Empty City- “cure”
We’ve been waving the flag for An Empty City for a little while now after catching them a couple of times live this year. Well the band are back with a short double single release that embodies just what they are all about. One of the tracks “cure” has been on repeat since it dropped at the beginning of the week. Sludgy breakdowns, snarling vocals and overall just perfect encapsulation of that modern nu-metalcore sound.

3. Brainwave- The Truth
We are going to let you in on a little secret- Aotearoa/New Zealand has some of the nastiest hardcore going around. Don’t take our word for it, check the new one from Brainwave. Just straight up, hit you in the face old school hardcore that will have you throwing down in the pit.

4. Whispers- Wisenheimer (You Were Never One Of Us) Ft. Shaun Alexander (Demonstration Of Power)
Look, you don’t think we would talk about new hardcore and NOT mention the evilcore heroes of Bangkok Whispers. Of course we have been spinning this since it dropped. Featuring Shaun Alexander from Demonstration of Power, the lads have done it again. This being the third single off their upcoming EP YO-MA-LOK– this release has us even more excited for the drop.

5. 赤潮REDTIDE- 力挽狂瀾
Okay we are going to cheat a little with this one. It has been out for a little while, but earlier this week it was dropped as a single on Spotify. 赤潮REDTIDE are an exciting metalcore band from China and if you are yet to check them out, then go right now. This track is produced and engineered by Josh Ang (Pincer+) and will scratch your brain in all the right places.
