It’s been a little while since we heard new material from Aussie metalcore act Mirrors but the band are back in full force with their latest single ‘Vestige’. Along with dropping the single, the Victorian outfit has also teased a second album- so let’s keep our eyes peeled for that one.

‘Vestige‘ is a soul hitting track. Produced by Ionei Heckenberg (Ocean Sleeper) and mixed and mastered by the legend himself Lance Prenc (Polaris, Alpha Wolf)- it explores the tumultuous yet transformative journey of self-discovery and resilience. Switching between crushing riffs, dreamy melodies and raw lyrical depth- it is a ride between the darkness, light and the eclipse in between.

“We wanted to get something out to the fans who have been so patient with us waiting for new material,” says the band.

“Life happens, but now we are as invigorated as ever, writing material for our second album.”

Those lucky enough to attend Ocean Sleeper‘s holiday throwdown Christmas Show in Traralgon on December 13 (tickets available here) will get to hear the track live.

For the rest of us? Well we will just spin the track until we get Mirrors back in our area.
