Japanese/Irish post-hardcore band Clarity have dropped their brand new single ‘feelnothing’, their first-ever release sung entirely in Japanese. This melancholic, heartfelt track also features guest vocals from KILLERMACHINE, an underground idol quickly gaining a reputation in Tokyo for her unique blend of kawaii and ravecore aesthetics.
‘feelnothing’ is a contemplative response to the band’s previous release, a collaboration with The Hideout Studios ‘Space x Time’. exploring the other side of the coin, delving into the themes of growing older and the temptation of nihilism in the face of an increasingly unfamiliar and changing world. Not just a lyrical, but also a sonic representation of what happens when you just can’t fight the pull of despair.
The single also sees Clarity back working with Hansel Romero (nightlife) for production duties, giving us one of the bands strongest songs yet. They have also released it with an english version as well.
‘feelnothing’ feat. KILLERMACHINE is out now.
