That’s why we have taken the time to sift through all the new music and bring you some must hear new bangers that have already been released this year.

5. Crazy Grizzly- SABDA BUMI (feat. KENIX of NARATU)

This chilling, anthemic release from Malaysian metalcore act Crazy Grizzly will shake you to your core. Accompanied by a powerful video, highlighting the genocide of the Palestinian people, it is a reminder of just how music can be used as a tool to call out the atrocities of the world. Not only this, the song is beautifully melodic and is drenched in introspection, pain and heartache.

4. GAI 荄 – KMT

Vietnam dropping some heavy on us this week! This time from Hanoi, GAI 荄 are back with their new release ‘KMT’. Dabbling more into that hardcore attitude and giving us some aggressive heat, this one is definitely a pit anthem.

3. Honest Crooks- The Saboteur

Aussie heavy hardcore kings have come guitar squealing back with their latest single ‘The Saboteur’. Relentless and delivery, giving us their trademark brutality- there is just something so cathartic about just a straight up hitting you in the face hardcore track blasting in your ears.

2. Shokan- Self Loathing // Self Hell

Speaking of Australian heavy, Brisbane band Shokan are back with a two track that shows why this band is so revered in the Aussie scene. ‘Self Loathing’ works more as an introduction, bringing us the off the charts banger that is ‘Self Hell’. It has everything; a ridiculously good two-step beat, beefy bass lines, snarling vocals, chest beating drums and of course, a nasty breakdown. What more do you want?

1. Deathbeds- Dead Name

Okay, this list is a bit Aussie heavy- but we can’t help that there has been a lot of action down under! Starting the new year strong, Canberra lads Deathbeds have dropped their ripper new single ‘Dead Name’. Giving us some aggressive lyrics and an even more violent break down, this track is just over three minutes of absolute fury.
