Okay so we are swinging well into the new year and while yes, there was some heat from other regions- the Asia Pacific DELIVERED this week.
Especially Singapore- what is in the water over there?
Anyway, in no particular order, here is this weeks new bangers.
5. Tariot- Fragments
One of Singapore’s premier metalcore acts and tightest bands out, Tariot have hit the ground running with their new track ‘Fragments‘. A fine example of modern metalcore, complete with thos djent infused prog guitars. With an insatiable groove and nasty as hell breakdown, this is the ultimate metalcore anthem.
4. Faraday- Morpheus
Again, the Singaporeans are going off this week. The melodic riffs, soaring vocals and funky rhythm of this track is ridiculously addictive. Perfectly placed screams give us that old school emocore feels that speak to the soul but it still slots straight into that 2025 sound.
3. FORDECISION- Through The Shadows (feat. Monument X)
We said it once and we will say it again, Thai hardcore is the FUTURE of the genre. One of the bands making magic out in the land of smiles is FORDECISION. They have dropped their new EP (review coming soon) and the title track is piece of mosh mastery. You can almost see the spin kicks as soon as the track hits. Giving us that old school feel and catchy as hell riffs. Dust off your two step shoes and turn this off.
2. SAKURA- All Of This, and I’m Not Even The Main Character
Look we are going to typecast here- we publish a lot on Japanese metal so we are ASSUMING that we will have a lot of anime fans. So while is differently an anime vibe, Sakura is not from Japan, they are from Wollongong in Australia. As soon as you put this track on though, you will hear the undeniable influence of Australian metalcore saturating this debut track from this brand new band. If this is their debut single, then we cannot WAIT for their EP.
1. Windwaker- Arcane
We are keeping it back in Australia because we simply cannot look past new Windwaker. One of the coolest bands kicking around at the moment- they just simply can’t put out a bad song. We are counting down the days to their tour and they just keep giving us more tunes we hope are on the setlist. This release belongs right up with the heavyweights of the genre and we challenge you to not find yourself grooving along while listening.
As always, New Noise does it best to highlight new music every week. Please check out our Spotify playlist and save it, so you can keep these tracks in circulation.
Also, if your band or an artist you know is dropping new music- let us know!
We endeavour to cover and share as much new music as we can.
