Look- we are a metalcore publication first and foremost, so of course Hatebreed were the first band we checked to see. BUT all of these Knotfest sideshows are worth considering attending- including comedian Luke Severeid.

Now, the Slipknot Adelaide sideshow, the only one NOT on the East Coast has unfortunately sold out- so if you want to add to your KNOTFEST experience or just want to catch a particular band on the line-up then you will need to head East. That being said, Hatebreed is hitting Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney, while Sunami will be just in Sydney and Melbourne.

Enter Shikari, always known for doing things a little differently, will be heading out the Sunshine Coast, Belgrave and Newcastle for their sideshows. Oh and Babymetal? They will be playing with Diamond Construct in Brisbane and Future Static in Sydney.

Luke Severeid will also be put on some comedy shows, in lieu of his interviewing and work that he will be doing at the festival. You can catch the metal comedy genius at the following:
