We know, we know- we are a little late as we are already a few days in to February, but we wanted to be absolutely sure we scoured through every release of last week to finish off the month.
So what tracks are we recommending?
Glad you asked, in no particular order, here they are.
5. Deviloof- 因習 (INSHU)
The visual deathcore visionaries Deviloof are back with an absolute ripper of a single. ‘Inshu’ is a brutal masterpiece and goes right into the bands roots and signature sound. Furious guitars, feral vocals and atmospheric sound scapes- it’s the Deviloof we all know and love know. Also, the music video? A visual delight.
4. 花冷え。(Hanabie.)- おいしいサビイビー (Tasty Survior)
The Harajuku-core queens have dropped another banger, ‘Tasty Survivor’, the OP for the anime Momentary Lily. Another band who knows their sound and sticks to what they do best. It’s fun, energetic and dynamic, with just as much breakdowns as danceable moments.
3. Thornhill- ‘Silver Swarm’
The third release off their upcoming album Bodies, Thornhill have done it again. Executing flawlessly a style that is both sultry and heavy, it is one of those songs that hypnotises it’s way into your brain. That kind of track you need to just close your eyes and let it wash over you.
2. Parallel Horizons x Loisey- Everlasting
A little while ago, we covered the first single of this collaboration- but the full EP is out now, so we wanted to highlight one of the tracks that wasn’t released. Parallel Horizons from Hong Kong have a soulful modern metalcore sound and their collaboration with edm producer Loisey brings their production and sound to another level. Intricate soundscapes that crash over you like waves, the entire EP is a must listen.
1. Behind Crimson Eyes- ‘Burn It Down’ feat. Lunacy
Oh what a time to be alive for the Aussie mid-00’s emo kids. Behind Crimson Eyes are giving us one last hurrah and this one is definitely one of their more heavy leaning tracks. It has an anthemic feel and makes us quite sad that this band won’t be continuing after this next album- because wow, they’ve taken their classic sound and kept it fresh.
At NOISE ‘N’ VISUALS we are committed to bringing and highlighting new music from across the Asia Pacific Region, so if you have new music- please get in contact with us.
In 2025, we will have even more avenues to get your music out there, so let’s work together.
What tracks did we miss this week? Let us know so we can get more music out there.
