If you haven’t had the opportunity to check out Brisbane alternative nu-metalcore outfit Headwreck, then you are missing out! The band are back with some sonic chaos at it’s finest- their new single  ‘Filet-O-Fish‘.

After giving us a sneaky peak around Australia this year at shows supporting the likes of Windwaker, Thousand Below, ERRA, Silent Planet and Diamond Construct, there is no wonder the hype is starting to build around this band.

‘Filet-O-Fish’ is a furious blend of chaotic metalcore riffs with unexpected twists. In true Headwreck fashion, it doesn’t take itself too seriously. Proof of this is the use of the tongue-in-cheek quote from The Office (US),“Boy, have you lost your mind? ‘Cause I’ll help you find it!”, in the chorus. 

“This song is one where we really wanted to experiment the most,” says the band, confirming this sentiment. 

“It includes a sort of phonk ish rap section which is definitely not a safe move for us, but that’s exactly the point. We didn’t want to play it safe, and wanted to do whatever the hell we wanted. And the title has nothing to do with anything because yolo.”

You can catch Headwreck on the road as they join Inertia‘s ‘Second Shadow’ Australian Tour this weekend and Northlane‘s Regional Queensland run in August.
