There are so many gems in the South East Asian post-hardcore scene, and one of the newest acts to debut is Singapore’s SHLTR. Dropping their first single ‘Decay Part 2‘ featuring Ahmad Zakir of Seasight– the emotive anthem is just a taste of what is to come from this new project.
Inspired by acts like Touche Amore, Title Fight, Defeater and Birds In Row the groups music takes an exploration of themes such as emotional displacement, fleeting connections and the struggle to find shelter – both physically and mentally – in an overwhelming world.
This first drop is off their upcoming full-length album Weathered Place that is set to be released on the 11th of May.
Raw, emotionally driven but still refined and mature, ‘Decay Part 2′ is short but sweet. Delivering a noise that scratches the brain right- it has rightfully sparked curiosity about what is to come for SHLTR.
The music video for ‘Decay Part 2′ is available to stream now,
