It is a rough sea out there for festivals in Australia, but heavy music seems to be bucking the trend. In what is a win for homegrown music, CONVERGE FESTIVAL has risen up- giving us something more to look forward to this September.
Touted as a brand new day festival, it will be held in two of Australia’s alternative capitals, Brisbane on the 7th of September at The Brightside & at Max Watt’s in Melbourne on the 14th. Promoted a new cultural experience for heavy music fans, organisers are setting out to combe live music & alternative culture for an immersive experience.
Unlike other big money festivals, CONVERGE FESTIVAL seeks to fill the gap in the market by providing an affordable and exciting mini festival spotlighting local talent alongside installations from fashion brands, DJ’s & tattoo artists.
Headlining the two dates are Aussie icons Bad Love, 50 Lions and Sienna Skies. Joining them for both shows will be The Comfort and Nightlight. In Brisbane, you can also expect to see Bad Neighbour, East Capri, Isla Vera and Talk Heavy. In Melbourne Bad Juju, Bukowski, Saving Face and 50Fifty will be making an appearance.
With the price of the festival around $60, make sure you jump on tickets now. Click here.
