Alright Myspace kids, it’s our time to shine. Our parents might be gearing up for November/December’s Metallica and ACDC onslaught, but physiotherapists across the country are about to hit the jackpot as we pull our Vans or Converses out of the cupboard with this next few months of shows.

The best part? These bands are still ripping it…so let’s see who is hitting up Australia very soon.

THE USED 25 YEAR ANNIVERSARY TOUR

The unspoken real emo kings, The Used are basically calling Australia home in August with a massive amount of shows across the country. Spending at least 3 nights in the major cities (yes that also includes you Adelaide and Perth), with each night dedicated to their albums Self-Titled, In Love & Death and Lies for the Liars. With new shows recently announced in Sydney and Melbourne and upgraded venues in Adelaide and Perth- the demand has never been hotter. Aussie post-hardcore kings Hands Like Houses will be opening the first lot of shows from August 7th-20th and the almighty HEVENSHE will be kicking things off from Friday the 22nd of August to Saturday the 6th of September. A lot of shows are already sold out, so make sure you get on Tixel or keep your eye out for extra tickets here.

SILVERSTEIN 25 YEARS OF NOISE TOUR
Another band celebrating their 25 year anniversary is legendary Canadian post-hardcore legends Silverstein. An absolute iconic band who are still causing havoc across the globe, this run of shows kicks off in early August. Sorry Perth, but you have been left out of this one, but the band will be kick off their tour on August 2nd in Melbourne, head to Sydney the next day, then fly on over to Adelaide on the 5th and finish up in Brissy on the 6th. Joining them will be Chicago emo act Real Friends.
Tickets are still available so hit up the link here to secure them.

Atreyu + Memphis May Fire
Now we are only sharing this with you because you need to keep an eye out on venue upgrades, extra tickets or a TIXEL link because this tour is SOLD OUT. Not surprising as it is the 20 years of Atreyu’s The Curse– one of the quintessential metalcore albums from the mid ’00s. Add in Texas titans Memphis May Fire and you got yourself a damn good OG metalcore show. Keep an eye out for updates here.

The Dillinger Escape Plan
Objectively one of the best live bands of all time, The Dillinger Escape Plan have been sorely missed. Now they have reunited to celebrate their debut record Calculating Infinity and they are heading back down under for a tour of epic proportions. Supporting them is the dynamite act HO99O9 in what has all the makings to be a formidable tour. With one Melbourne show already sold out and another added, it’s not a show to wait for because tickets are selling FAST. Click here to secure yours.

The Spill Canvas + The Juliana Theory
Now we are really diving into the emo nostalgia, with these two bands truly carving a legacy in the genre. The Spill Canvas will be celebrating 20 years of One Fell Swoop while The Juliana Theory are holding a torch for 25 years of Emotion Is Dead. If you are hyped for this one, then you really are a real one. The emo legends will be heading down the East Coast in July- so mark it in your diaries now. Tickets are available here.

2000-2010 was a glorious time in Australia, where there was a significant overlap of emo and metalcore kids. Both black sheep genres in the heavy music and alternative spaces- so to see these bands that were so influential during that decade celebrating longevity and albums that stood the test of time, it’s a privilege that not all artists and fans get to experience.
