We are going to be very honest about this week’s list…we are very much frothing over the Adelaide scene right now.

With some dope tracks dropping from not just good old Rads, but also across the Asia Pacific region, we have been dying to put this list out.

So here it goes!

Seek Misery- ‘Scars Bare Your Name’ feat. Dane of To The Grave
First up for a Adelaide favs, just when you think Seek Misery could not get any heavier- they enlist the services of Dane of To The Grave. Disgustingly brutal, they are doing deathcore the way it was intended and we cannot get enough.

Dreameater- ‘Refuse To Bloom’
Next up in our Adelaide love affair is fast rising nu-metalcore act Dreameater. This track ‘Refuse To Bloom’ has been touted as a landmark track for the band and honestly, we can see why. Not a moment of wasted air and so much going on, but in the best way. Dripping with venom lyrically and tapping into a expansive sonic palette, this band is certainly one to watch.

Empathize- ‘SEAHC’
Hitting us with an ode to the ever blossoming South East Asian hardcore scene, Vietnam’s Empathize are throwing down the gauntlet. With some lovely arpeggios prettying up some straight up hardcore, it’s the perfect argument for why you should not be sleeping on South East Asian hardcore right now.

Asteriya- ‘The Strongest Flame
Now here is one act Japanese based act we’ve been waiting to share with you. For fans of bands like Motionless In White and other bands that tap into some classic and operatic metal soundscapes, while still channelling harsh vocals and breakdowns, Asteriya belongs on your playlist. A message of resilience and rising up, make sure you stay up to date and try to catch them when you are in Tokyo next.

Oblivious- ‘Firefly’
Alrighty, off to Thailand and here is the latest from metalcore mainstays Oblivious. With driving riffs, gnarly vocals and just straight forward heavy breakdowns (plus some little playing with effected pinched harmonics)- this track doesn’t just belong on your playlist, but also your gym playlist too.

Have we missed any? Make sure we don’t miss your new music.
