One of the fast rising jewels of the Singapore scene REDGRAVE have given us a nice little surprise this weekend by dropping their brand new single ‘Echo Chamber.’
Just in time for them to open for Australia metallic hardcore act TERMINAL SLEEP, this is the second single they have released over the last few months. While early versions of this song have been included in the bands setlist since last year, this polished piece puts the band up another rung on the talent ladder.
Like their previous single ‘Condemned’, it is also produced by renowned talent Joshua Ang (of Pincer+). Released independently, the single spotlights REDGRAVE‘s ability to dip into a diverse sonic palette and blending new ideas but still able retaining their signature sound.
Lyrically, ‘Echo Chamber’ captures the conflicting emotions of someone turning away from you. The desperation but also the contentment. Heavy and driving, it slowly builds up to soaring choruses and pays off with an emotionally charged breakdown that sticks with you even after as the song finishes.
You can stream the ‘Echo Chamber’ here.
If you are in Singapore, make sure you catch REDGRAVE supporting Terminal Sleep on Sunday the 19th of October.
