Firmly drawing a line in the sand and leaping into their new era, Thai metalcore veterans ANNALYNN are making a statement with their new release ‘BIOS’.
After returning to the fold earlier this year with ‘White Flags’, the bands future was still a little up in the air. That uncertainty has been removed as they have solidified their new lineup, with guitarist Nuttapop “Pob” Chuensuktananun taking on full duties, and shown that they still have even gas in the tank.
‘BIOS’ proves that ANNALYNN will always be that band, pushing the limits creatively and setting the standard for metalcore in the South East Asian region. Through a visceral display of sonic prowess and deeply personal lyricism, the band encourages listeners to confront the hardships and fear, face the hardships that life presents and keep moving forward- something the four of them have firsthand in experience in.
“Our band is starting to reset and work through the challenges caused by the unexpected bad news that many of you may know,” says ANNALYNN.
“We have now come to a definitive conclusion by having Pob, our guitarist, take over as the full-time vocalist. Even though there are now only 4 of us, we will continue to move forward to reach our original goals.”
Thailand’s premier metalcore act has a long history behind them. From supporting heavyweight international artists over the last two decades and in 2023 signing with Australian label Greyscale Records. After a hiatus, ANNALYNN returned to the stage earlier this year and have since played numerous shows, supporting acts like NORTHLANE and festivals. The band has also been announced as one of the top-billed Thai acts at Thailand’s premier music festival ROCK ALARM on Valentines Day next year, alongside Underoath, The Devil Wears Prada, Saosin and Suicide Silence.
‘BIOS’ is out now via Greyscale Records.
