One of the most underrated bands in the Australian music scene Melting have dropped one of their most ferocious releases yet, ‘Glare’.
Lyrically written prior to the band’s formation, ‘Glare‘ explores the long-lasting psychological impact of abuse, tracing the lingering trauma and paranoia that can persist even after distancing.
“I’ve witnessed it in the lives of those closest to me, and I’ve experienced it myself,” says vocalist Xavier Morris.
“An all-consuming fear that can be instilled by the most heinous of acts, down to a simple glare.”
It’s sonically aggressive and raw, but filled with soul and groove, coming off the back of the band’s breakout year. A year where they have firmly woven themselves into the tapestry of new and exciting acts in the Australian scene.
“This first year of You Exist Because We Allow It has been absolutely nuts,” says the band.
“It’s hard to put into words how full on it has been. All we know is that we are so grateful to have done all the things we have already done in such a short period of time. Camp Melting is firing on all cylinders, and that’s a nice feeling, especially with so much coming up!”
The single will be launched live at their upcoming support for Starve in Melbourne at The Workers Club.

Tickets are free via RSVP here, so don’t miss out on this hectic show!
