It’s been hard to keep up with all the tours and new drops. From albums, to comebacks and just the overall wildness that April seems to bring, our team has been struggling to stay on top!
But never fear, we’ve still had our ears out and here are some banger single drops you may have missed from our friends across the Asia Pacific.
PROMPTS- DEATH OF ME
We didn’t miss this drop. We’ve been letting it sink deeper and deeper, so we can now feel it on a cellular level. This gorgeous new release from the Japanese/Korean act PROMPTS is just another example of the band’s sonic evolution. It is also another glimpse into vocalist PK‘s ever-expanding range. If you aren’t listening to PROMPTS yet, what are you doing? Don’t worry- the bandwagon is still accepting new members, so listen below and enjoy this melodic metalcore masterpiece.
Fragments- DOOMBRINGER feat. Rod Rodrigo (Juggernaut/VIE)
Yes, we’ve got some fresh music from a NOISE ‘N’ VISUALS OG act, that is, of course, modern metalcore band Fragments from the Philippines. Their latest single ‘DOOMBRINGER’ gives us that signature Fragments sound with an updated flair. Emotionally charged and aggressive, along with a vocal feature from another Filipino heavyweight, this track delivers everything and more we expect from the Manila metalcore mainstays. Check it out below.
PARALYZED- [ANGEL ENGINE]
There are some rumours that metalcore in Thailand is dead…but Paralyzed are just one of the young acts helping to revive it. Heavy, abrasive and hitting you like a tidal wave of sound, their latest release ‘[ANGEL ENGINE]‘ is the perfect introduction to this upcoming act. Don’t take our word for it, listen yourself.
NUMB- ‘Follow The Shogun’
Don’t worry hardcore kids, we haven’t forgotten you. Japanese hardcore heavyweights NUMB are back with their new track ‘Follow The Shogun’ featuring Makoto from SAND. Produced by Crystal Lake’s Gaku Taura, this short, sharp and shiny banger is the soundtrack to some true Japanese moshstyle. Get hyped by listening now.
SiM- ‘FiVE TiMES DEAD’
Let’s stay in Japan and remind everybody that the reggae punks SiM also dabble in some metalcore stylings, especially with their latest heater ‘FiVE TiMES DEAD (by my wallet)’. Their first release since their successful album PLAYDEAD, the band is back to their usual antics of inspiring movement and groove, unlike any other act in the region. There is only one SiM, so check out their new pit anthem below. (Spoiler alert: there are some fun breakdowns to be found)

Things maybe changing up a little, so please follow along to stay informed. No matter what happens though, we will always be doing our best to help grow the Asia Pacific heavy music scene. It’s our home too.
