A few days ago we brought you the news of Babymetal returning to Australian shores and of course, a few months ago we also celebrated ONE OK ROCK‘s 2026 tour announcement…but there are a few others we missed!
Fukuoka chaoscore pioneers PALEDUSK will be returning to their second home in February, supporting THORNHILL on their Australian Bodies Tour. Adding some more insanity to the lineup with HEAVENSGATE & Amira Elfeky, they will tear up the stage in only a way they know how. First signing to Greyscale Records in 2022, PALEDUSK quickly won over Aussie punters with their unique sound and high energy performances. This being their 5th run in almost as many years, there is sure to be a loud contingent waiting for them to hit the stage. Melbourne is already sold out, so for those in other states, get to it. Tickets can be found here.

Japanese metalcore HEAVYWEIGHTS Crystal Lake will be making their long awaited return to down under, supporting OF MICE & MEN in May. The band first exploded into the Aussie psyche as one of the last shows before the pandemic shutdown in 2020. Sending shockwaves that people are still talking about to this day, the band’s now established new line-up will be making it’s Australian debut. Tickets are onsale now, head here to snap them up.

If we are talking heavyweights, then we cannot leave coldrain. out of the conversation. The Nagoya natives have made their way out here a few times over the last decade, but we will be welcoming them back with open arms as they join Electric Callboy and Ice Nine Kills on this massive tour. A well established act in the Japanese scene, coldrain. have been a huge force, pushing J-metalcore globally. These shows are sure to sell out, so make sure you grab your tickets ASAP (link here).

A little off the metalcore path, but cult favourites BORIS will be making a few appearances early next year. With a one-off show at Perth’s SPLIFFS & RIFFS (tickets can be found here) and an appearance with fellow countrymen Merzbow presenting Dronevil at the Adelaide festival (more information found here)- if you are able to witness these shows, they are sure not to be missed.

We are only in the back of 2025 and this is the heat we see coming over from Japan. With rumours circulating and fans also anticipating a return of some of their favourite Japanese metalcore acts, there is sure to be more on the horizon.
Let us know who you are going to see, who you want to see and who you think will be back in Australia next year!
