Is NOISE ‘N’ VISUALS planning to cover the upcoming K-Mega Concert in Sydney? Sort of. 

For the last two years, we have been a hub for heavy music from across the Asia Pacific Metalcore region. After travelling and meeting so many artists in the metalcore/hardcore space, something really surprised us.

There are a lot of K-Pop fans who also like metalcore.

So that got us thinking…what if we created a project that focuses on more pop-culture-specific spaces?

Because if our travels taught us one thing, it is that people get into music in so many different ways.

From anime to idol music from Japan. Thai music through dramas. Chinese music through fashion and television. And of course, K-Pop leading to a whole discovery of different scenes.

We realised that pop culture is a huge gateway to discovering new countries and scenes. 

We also realised that Fan Culture is a driving force behind this exposure. From penlight-wielding Chika Idol devotees to K-Pop stans collecting photo cards.

While we have many projects in this space underway our first is our coverage of the upcoming K-Mega Concert in Sydney. 

K-Mega Concert takes place on Friday June 26th at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena. This is the third instalment of the ONE DREAM ONE MUSIC series that has been hitting up the Asia Pacific Region. In a mission to light up the world’s great cultural and artistic cities, the team at K-Mega Concert will be delivering a night filled with K-POP that is sure to be unforgettable. 

Taking part are MONSTA X, iKON, UNIS, VVUP, Baby DONT Cry and MODYSSEY, a diverse lineup of some of K-Pop’s best and brightest. From the hiphop stylings of iKON to the sweet and bittersweet charm of rising stars Baby DONT Cry, there is something for every taste of K-Pop.

Don’t worry, NOISE ‘N’ VISUALS will be remaining a hub for heavy music, but every Kuromi needs her My Melody, and there will be times where worlds collide. But we just wanted to introduce the FAN GAL Channel because we know firsthand that fan culture is alive and well in the Asia Pacific Metalcore/Hardcore community.
